From the history of Al-Farabi radio
Thanks to its many natural features, especially its speed, it is a leader in delivering information. That is why the Faculty of Journalism at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is focused on student radio. The launch of the faculty radio studio, which was equipped with technical equipment by the UNESCO Representative Office in Kazakhstan in 1995, was a great addition to the field of journalism and faculty life.
In 1997, for the first time in the Kazakh and Russian languages, the student program was broadcast on the Kazakh Radio. The first student radio broadcasts started in the national language on the national radio and the first half hour program was broadcast under the guidance of teacher Klara Kailigazin.
This presentation of “Zerde” was broadcast on air on January 16, 1997 from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. The audience was warmly welcomed by the new radio program, which was broadcast on the Kazakh radio.
From the moment of the first announcement, the Zhambyl region, published in the newspaper “Zhas Alash”. Zhubatova: “I was delighted to hear the message prepared by the students. It was a positive thing, rather than a rhetoric. I wish the newcomers to become more and more active in the news, “said the young radio journalist and raised his enthusiasm for good news.
There were many stories, important stories and stories. For example, deputy of Mazhilis of Parliament of the RK Akim Isaak, doctor of biological sciences Maya Shigaeva, doctor of historical sciences Shagila Kusanova, composer Nurgisa Tlendiev, doctor of philology Alma Kraubaeva, art representative Yerzhan Belgaziev and others. many interviews were recorded and published in the column “Good Dignity”. Students’ novel “Student’s diary” or “Diary of the Student” have a permanent place and youth creativity.
Firstly, the radio “Zerde” and then “Sana” became the experimental school of the radio studio, which started broadcasting on October 14, 2010 under the name of “Al-Farabi” radio.
Today Al-Farabi KazNU TV-radio is broadcast live on “Al-Farabi” radio. In addition, from March 2016 to June 2017, a special site was created on the Internet site www.volnorez.com //Al- farabi FM.
And on September 15, 2017, a personal online portal called “Al-Farabi” was born and started broadcasting online. The goal is to promote students’ creativity and to make their work public. Messages will be available in Kazakh, Russian and English on six days a week.
